Recreational Dance Classes
Eclipse Dance Collective offers a variety of recreational classes for students of all ages and experience levels, including:
- Creative Movement & Combination Classes
- Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop
- Acrobatics & Lyrical
Students are placed in levels based on age and development:
- Tiny Stars (2.5-3 years)
- Shining Stars (4-5 years)
- Nebula (6-8 years)
- Celestial (9-12 years)
- Teen Level (13+ in development)
Recreational dancers perform in the annual recital and have opportunities to participate in local community events, helping them gain confidence and stage experience in a fun and supportive setting.
Competitive Dance Teams
For dancers looking for additional training and performance opportunities, Eclipse Dance Collective offers two competitive teams:
- Rising Stars (Ages 4-8) – A beginner-friendly introduction to competitive dance, with training in ballet, jazz, tap, and foundational technique classes
- Team Eclipse (Ages 8-18) – A more advanced program focused on developing strong technique, artistry, and versatility. Dancers train weekly in:
- Ballet & Strength and Conditioning
- Stretch & Technique
- Jumps, Turns & Leaps
Team Eclipse competes in various dance styles, including Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop, and Open categories. The team attends four regional competitions and one national competition per year.
All company members also participate in a large-scale jazz production number, fostering teamwork and a sense of community. Additional opportunities for solo and duet routines are available, with team placements determined through an annual audition each August.
