Studio Philosophy

DT’s Dance Center is committed to empowering and inspiring students to grow through integrity, character, confidence, and their passion for dance. This philosophy is woven into every class and program, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for all dancers. ​Under the guidance of owner and instructor Delina Hattey, who brings over 20 years of dance experience and nearly 15 years of teaching and choreographing, DT’s ensures high-quality dance instruction in a variety of dance forms.

Diverse Class Offerings

The studio offers a wide range of classes across various dance styles and skill levels, accommodating students from beginners to advanced dancers.​

• Introductory Dance: Designed for young beginners, these classes introduce tap, ballet, and acro, focusing on creative movement and foundational skills.

• Intermediate Dance: Suitable for dancers with some experience, offering instruction in acro, ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, contemporary, and pointe to enhance technique and versatility.​

• Advanced Dance: For seasoned dancers aiming to refine their skills, emphasizing strength, self-expression, determination, and advanced techniques across all dance styles.​

• Dance Team: An opportunity for dancers aged 7 and up to participate in team-based performances and competitions, fostering team-building skills and character development.​

• Summer Dance Camps: Seasonal programs that offer intensive training and fun activities to keep dancers engaged during the summer months.​

• Pop Up & Play Events: Two-hour sessions that encourage children to learn and grow through play, including free play, pizza, drinks, and snacks.

• DT’s Dance Center has its own in-house dance store, providing convenient access to dance apparel and accessories for students and the local dance community.
• DT’ s Dance Center actively participates in local events, such as performances at The Jackson Crossing Mall’s “Holiday in the Halls,” fostering a sense of community and providing students with valuable performance experience.

• DT’s Dance Center studio has been honored with the Quality Business Award for 2025, recognizing it as Jackson, Michigan top dance studio.

• DT’s Dance Center opened up in early September of 2020 and has been blossoming ever since!
